This Santoku blade is 100% fully hardened then differentially tempered Damascus steel comprised of 1075,15n20, and 5160 steels which result in exceptional toughness.The blade is Built for optimum balance.I chose Honey Cocobolo for its exceptional toughness and beauty and it is epoxied and pinned with stainless steel pins with a museum fit. This ensures that you will never be hindered by a sharp tang that becomes bothersome by shrinking wood which would leave it exposed. Overall length of the knife is 11&1/2 inches. Blade length to handle is 6.75 inches. Handle length is 5 inches. Blade width is 1&7/8ths inches and the thickness is 1/8th of an inch.
