Frequently asked questions

Q: How do I purchase a piece of work?

A: If you see something you like please use the contact me form.I accept PayPal, personal checks, & cash as payment. I do add 3% for PayPal to cover their fees.

Q: What are your shipping charges?

A: I charge actual shipping charges and insurance. I can use whatever shipper you prefer and will let you know when it ships, along with tracking numbers and other pertinent information.

Q: What is your warranty?

A: I guarantee my work. If you ever have an issue just contact me.

Q: What services do you provide?

A: Free sharpening and cleaning for life- you just pay for any shipping. Custom requests, and special projects. Custom Leatherwork.

Q: Do you take on commissions?

A: I do commissioned work on a case by case basis. In most cases, if you want a specific piece of work built, and it is something that I normally make, then I don’t charge a commission fee. If you are requesting a large amount of work, something extraordinary, or if I will be shipping out of the country I will require a 50% deposit. The deposit is refundable until I begin work on your project. Once I begin work in earnest the deposit is non-refundable. I will contact you before the work starts to make sure that you still want to move forward with the project.

Q: Forged or Stock-Removal?

A: My forgings are 100% forged to shape. If you are wanting a stock removal knife, it will be heat-treated the same way with differential hardening and tempering just like my forged blades.

Q: Do you make your own Damascus?

A: Yes, I make my own Damascus. In fact, I claim Full-Authorship on my work. From forging a blade to the last stitch in my leatherwork.

Q: Are you a full-time maker?

A: Like the Spartans said “War is our Vocation”, for the last 20 years Bladesmithing is my vocation.
